Military attachés and war correspondents in the First World War

Okay, imagine a big game of hide and seek with two teams. One team is made up of soldiers who are fighting in a big war and the other team is made up of people who are not fighting but are watching the game from a safe distance. The people who are watching are called war correspondents and they are like reporters who bring news about the game to people who can't be there.

Now imagine that one of the players on the team that is fighting is allowed to sneak around and watch what the other team is doing without being seen. This player is called a military attaché and they are like secret agents who gather important information for their team.

During the first world war, countries sent military attachés to other countries to spy on them and learn about their strategies and weapons. They were like secret eyes and ears for their own countries. War correspondents, on the other hand, went to the front lines of the war to report on what was happening and send news back home. Both were important in helping people understand what was going on during the war.
