Military history of Italy during World War I

Italy was involved in World War I like many other countries in Europe. This means that its military was fighting in battles against other countries. Italy's army fought against Austria-Hungary, while its navy fought against Austria-Hungary, Germany and Turkey. Italy also provided troops and supplies to their allies, such as France. At the end of the war, Italy had fought in many battles and had lost more than 600,000 soldiers. Its victory in the Battle of Vittorio Veneto in 1918 helped the Allies to win the war.
