Milk paint

Hey kiddo, have you ever heard of milk paint? It's a special kind of paint that people used a long, long time ago to paint their houses and furniture.

You know how we drink milk to keep our bones strong and healthy? Well, milk paint is made from milk proteins, lime or borax, and natural pigments (that's the stuff that makes the paint different colors). That's right, milk is actually one of the main ingredients!

Milk paint is special because it's eco-friendly and safe for us to use. It's also really easy to make at home with just a few simple ingredients.

When you mix the milk paint together, it's a bit like mixing pancake batter. You have to stir it really well until it's all smooth and mixed up. Then, you can use a brush to paint it on the surface you want to paint.

Milk paint can look a little different than other kinds of paint though. It has a soft, flat finish that's a little bit chalky. This is because milk paint doesn't have any shiny chemicals in it to make it glossy. But that's what makes it so special!

And did you know that milk paint lasts a really long time too? That's because it's made with natural ingredients. So, if you paint something with milk paint, it could last for hundreds of years!
