ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Mind–body dualism

Mind-body dualism is a belief that our minds and bodies are two separate things. Our minds are made up of thoughts, feelings and ideas, and are non-physical. Our bodies, on the other hand, are physical and made up of things like our skin, muscles, and bones. Dualism means that even though our minds and bodies are different, they work together to form one person. Some people think the mind is much more important than the body because the mind makes us who we are.
