Alright kiddo, do you know what a church is? It's a special place where people go to worship and learn about God. The Church of Scotland is one of the churches that people can go to.
Now, in the Church of Scotland, there are two important groups of people: ministers and elders. Ministers are like teachers who work at the church. They have studied the Bible and know a lot about God and what He wants us to do. They lead worship services and give sermons, which are like speeches about how we can be better people and follow God's teachings.
Elders are also very important in the Church of Scotland. They are like helpers to the ministers. They are people who have been chosen by the church to help with things like taking care of the church building, organizing events, and helping people in need. Elders also help minister with important decisions, like choosing new leaders in the church or deciding how the church's money should be used.
Together, ministers and elders work to make the Church of Scotland a great place for people to come and learn about God. They help each other and work as a team, just like how you and your friends help each other at school.
