ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Mitläufer

Okay kiddo, so mitläufer is a German word that means "follower" or "accomplice". It's used to describe someone who goes along with a group or a bad idea even though they know it's not right.

It's like when your friends want to do something that you know is wrong, but you go along with it anyway because you don't want to feel left out. That's being a mitläufer.

But it's important to remember that doing the right thing is always more important than fitting in with a group. It can be hard to stand up for what you believe in, but it's worth it in the end. So always try to be a leader, not a mitläufer!
