Mnemonic effect

Mnemonic effect is a way to remember something. It's like a trick: if you can find a way to make it easier to remember something, it's called a mnemonic effect. For example, if you want to remember the names of the planets in our solar system, you might use a mnemonic effect to help you. You might say something like, "My very eager mother just served us nine pizzas" -- the first letter of each word stands for a planet: Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto. That way, it will be easier to remember all the planets!
