ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Model Congress

Model Congress is a fun activity where kids pretend to be members of the United States Congress. Just like in the real Congress, each kid is given a role, like being a representative or a senator from their state. They have to dress up nicely and act professionally, just like the real politicians do.

During Model Congress, the kids get to debate and discuss different laws and policies, just like the real Congress does. They have to research and prepare arguments for their positions on different issues, just like the real politicians do.

Model Congress is a really great way for kids to learn about how laws are made and how people work together to make decisions. It also teaches kids how to be respectful and listen to other people's opinions, even if they don't agree with them. Plus, it's just super fun to pretend to be a politician for a day!
