ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Model building

Model building is like making a Lego set or a puzzle. Just like how you put the pieces of a puzzle together, people who make models put pieces together too. But instead of puzzles and Legos, model builders use parts that make up a smaller version of something real, like a car or a plane or a building.

The parts in a model building kit usually have numbers on them that match a guide, which shows where the parts go. It's like coloring inside the lines. You pick up a part, find its number in the guide, and then put it in the right place on the model.

Model building takes a lot of patience and concentration. It also helps build fine motor skills, which are important for things like drawing and writing. And when you're done building a model, you can have a cool toy to play with that you made all by yourself!
