ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Mogul skiing

Mogul skiing is a type of skiing where people go down a hill, but it's not just any ordinary hill. It's a hill that's got a bunch of little bumps on it called "moguls." These bumps are made by machine or by nature and they're kind of like really big speed bumps.

What makes mogul skiing special is that skiers have to ski over these big bumps while going down the hill as fast as they can. To do this, they have to bend their knees and quickly turn their skis back and forth. This helps them keep their balance and avoid falling down.

But it's not just about going down the hill fast and staying on your feet. There are judges who watch the skiers and give them a score based on how smoothly and stylishly they ski over the bumps. This is why some skiers will even add some tricks, like jumps and spins, to their mogul skiing routine!

Overall, mogul skiing takes a lot of skill, practice, and determination. But it's also really fun and exciting to watch!
