Moishe Postone

Moishe Postone was a Jewish philosopher and historian. He lived in Germany until the Nazis took over in 1933, and then he moved to the United States. He wrote many books and articles about the history of modern capitalism and argued that modern forms of capitalism have created an unequal society. He believed that certain forms of socialism could help people have a more equal and just society. He saw capitalism as a system that creates inequality and harms the environment, but he also believed that it could be reformed and made more fair. So he wanted to help us understand how to make changes that could lead to a more equal society.
