Monarchism is a system of government in which a monarch has all the power. The monarch can be a King or Queen. The monarch is the highest authority in the country, meaning that all other people have to listen and follow the monarch's orders. A country that is a monarchy is often called a kingdom. Monarchs often have a lot of power and authority, and they often stay in their position for life.
