Monarchy of the Cook Islands

Okay kiddo, today we're talking about the monarchy of the Cook Islands. Now, the Cook Islands is a group of islands in the South Pacific Ocean, and they have their own government and leaders who help make important decisions.

But, unlike some other countries, the Cook Islands have a monarch who is the head of state. That means they represent the country and make sure everything is running smoothly.

The current monarch of the Cook Islands is Queen Elizabeth II, who is also the queen of many other countries as well. Even though she lives in England, she has people in the Cook Islands to help her with her duties there.

The Queen doesn't make all the decisions herself though. She has a representative in the Cook Islands, called the Queen's Representative. This person helps make sure the Queen's wishes are carried out and keeps her up to date on what's going on in the country.

So, in short, the monarch of the Cook Islands is like a big boss who helps lead the country and make important decisions, but has people to help them out and make sure everything runs smoothly.
