Monergism
Monergism is a type of belief about how people come to believe in God. Monergism comes from two Greek words, 'monos', which means 'all by itself', and 'ergon', which means 'working' - so, monergism means that only one power or force is working.
In monergism, it is believed that God is the only force that can bring someone to believe in Him - it is all up to God, not up to people. That means, according to monergism, it is God alone who saves us, and not anything that people do. People don't play any part in it - God does it all!
