Monique Wittig

Monique Wittig was a French writer and feminist from the 20th century. She wrote novels, plays, and essays about how women were treated differently from men, and how this was wrong. Her writing focused on the idea that women should be treated equally, and that gender could be different from what a person was born with. She believed that people should be allowed to choose their own gender, and that the traditional roles for women and men should be done away with. She was a very important part of the feminist movement, and her books and ideas are still being studied and discussed today.
