Monoculturalism

Monoculturalism refers to a situation where everybody believes in and follows the same culture. Just like how every flower in a garden is of the same color, in a monocultural society, every person belongs to the same culture.

For example, imagine you have a bunch of friends and you all like the same things, like playing video games or watching the same TV shows. This means that you are all part of the same culture of liking video games or that TV show; you all have common interests. That's like monoculturalism, where everyone follows the same culture.

It's important to know that monoculturalism can be good and bad. It's good because it can create a sense of unity and belonging among people. For example, if everyone in a village follows the same culture, then they are likely to have similar beliefs and practices, which could help them get along better.

However, it's also bad because it doesn't allow for diversity and different perspectives. It can lead to discrimination against people who don't belong to the dominant culture. For example, some people might discriminate against someone who doesn't speak the same language, celebrate the same holidays or follow the same dietary restrictions as them.

In summary, monoculturalism is when everyone follows the same culture, which can have both positive and negative effects.
