Monthon

Back then, Thailand was split up into different monthons, and each monthon was like its own little kingdom with its own leader. But there was still a big king who was in charge of everything.

So basically, a Monthon was a way to organize the government in Thailand a long time ago. But nowadays, they don't use this system anymore.
