Moral idealism

Moral idealism is when you hope for or expect that people will make moral choices that are best for the most people. A good example of this is when someone volunteers to help out at a homeless shelter or donates money to charity even if it means they have to make sacrifices to do it. It's expecting that people will make decisions that benefit others instead of just themselves.
