ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Motel

Okay kiddo, so a motel is like a hotel but with some differences. A motel usually has rooms that you can drive your car right up to. This is helpful if you have a lot of things to carry because you don't have to walk far with your bags.

The rooms in a motel are usually a bit simpler than a hotel room. They might not have as much fancy furniture or decorations. But, they still have everything you need to be comfortable, like a bed, a bathroom, and maybe a TV.

Motel rooms are usually cheaper than hotel rooms, which is good if you want to save some money. But, sometimes they might not be in as nice of an area or they might not have as many amenities, like a pool or a gym.

So, next time you go on a road trip and need a place to stay for the night, you might see a motel along the way!
