Motion capture (also known as mocap) is a way to record how someone moves and put their movements into a computer or video game. It works by attaching special markers to a person's body, like their arms and legs. The markers tell a computer, through a camera, how someone is moving. That information can then be used to make a computer-animated character do the same movements as the person. Motion capture is used to make characters in films, video games, and other types of digital media look and move more realistically.
