Motivational therapy

Motivational therapy is like when your mom or dad tries to make you do something you don't want to do, but they do it in a nice way. They encourage you and show you why it's important to do it.

In motivational therapy, a professional helps people who may not want to do certain things, like stop using drugs or alcohol or start exercising. They use special talking skills to get the person to think about why it's important and how it will make them feel better.

Instead of just telling the person what to do, they ask them questions and help them come up with their own ideas. It's like a puzzle, where the helper asks the person how they can fit the pieces together to make positive changes in their life.

Sometimes, people just need a little push to make changes, and motivational therapy can be very helpful in getting them there.
