Mounted band

Imagine you have a big circle made of paper. Now, take a rubber band and stretch it all the way around the circle. You can move the rubber band all around the paper circle and it stays in the same place. That's kind of like a mounted band.

A mounted band is a musical instrument that is made up of a circular drum called a tambourine and a bunch of little cymbals all stuck together in a circle. This circle of instruments is then put on a stand, or mounted, so that the musician can hit it with a stick or their hand to make music.

When the musician hits the tambourine part of the band, it makes a drumming sound. When they hit the cymbals, it makes a tinkling sound. The mounted band is moved around to different parts of the music depending on what the musician wants to sound like and what kind of music they're playing.
