Okay kiddo, have you ever seen a big statue of a man on the side of the road that's holding something like a giant hot dog or an axe? Those are called "Muffler Men," and they were first made a long time ago in the 1960s.
They were used to advertise all kinds of things, like car dealerships, restaurants, and other businesses. People thought they were cool because they were so big and stood out, so they became really popular.
Nowadays, you can still find Muffler Men in different parts of the country. Some people even collect them like toys or artwork. They might not be as popular as they used to be, but they're still pretty neat to look at!
