ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Multidimensional organization

Imagine that you have a toy box with many different toys in it. You can sort your toys in different ways, like by color or by type of toy. Multidimensional organization is like sorting your toys in many different ways all at the same time.

In the real world, we use multidimensional organization to sort and analyze data. Let's say we have data about a lot of different fruits, like apples, oranges, and bananas. To organize this data, we can use different categories, or dimensions.

For example, we could use the dimensions of fruit type, color, weight, and price. This means we could sort the fruits based on what type of fruit they are, what color they are, how heavy they are, and how much they cost.

Each of these dimensions gives us a new way to look at and sort the data. By looking at the data from all of these different angles at once, we can get a more complete understanding of the fruits we are analyzing.

Multidimensional organization is a way to sort data in many different ways at once, helping us to better understand the information we are working with.
