Municipalities of Mexico
So you know how there are different areas where we live, like neighborhoods or towns? Well, in Mexico, there are even bigger areas called municipalities.
Each municipality has a government that helps take care of things like making sure the roads are safe, picking up trash, and helping the people who live there.
There are a lot of municipalities in Mexico - over 2,000! Some are really big and have lots of people living there, like Mexico City's municipality. Others are smaller and more rural, with fewer people and less going on.
Even though there are so many municipalities, they all have something in common - they're all part of the big country of Mexico!
