Murals from the Christian temple at Qocho

These murals were made a very long time ago, even before you were born! They were made in a place called Qocho, which is in modern-day China. The people there spoke a language called Tocharian and they were very skilled at painting these murals. The murals were so amazing that people from all over came to see them and praise God in the temple.

Now, even though these murals were made a long time ago, some parts of them still survived until today! This is because they were found underground, protected from the harsh environment outside. Scientists and archaeologists dug them up and took good care of them so that everyone can see and admire them.
