ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Murder of Seth Rich

So, imagine you have a friend named Seth. One day, something really bad happened to him. He was walking home from work, and someone attacked him with a gun. The person who did it ran away, and Seth was really hurt. He went to the hospital, but the doctors couldn't make him better, and he died.

Now, this is a really sad and scary thing to happen. When something like this happens, the police and other people try to figure out what happened and who did it. They might talk to people who saw what happened or who knew Seth, and try to find clues about who could have hurt him.

In the case of Seth Rich, some people think that there might be more to the story than just a random person attacking him. Some people believe that Seth could have been killed because he was involved in some sort of secret activity, or because he knew something that someone didn't want him to tell.

However, there isn't really any evidence to back up these ideas. The police and other experts have investigated what happened to Seth, and they haven't found anything that suggests he was killed for any reason other than someone wanting to hurt him.

So, while it is possible that there is more to the story, the evidence doesn't really support these theories. The most likely explanation is simply that someone hurt Seth, and that it was a really sad and terrible thing to happen.
