Music of Russia

Hey kiddo! You know how music is a bunch of sounds put together in a fun way? Well, in Russia, they have their own special way of making music that sounds different from what you’re used to hearing.

In Russia, they love to play instruments like the balalaika, which looks kind of like a guitar but has a triangle-shaped body. They also use big drums called bass drums, and bells called chimes. All these instruments together make a really unique sound that you won’t hear anywhere else!

The Russians also have a special kind of singing called choral singing. This is when a group of people sing together, but instead of singing really high or low like you might hear in pop music, they sing in a way that sounds really big and powerful. It’s like the sound is coming from a whole big group of people at once!

Many Russian songs tell stories about the country and its history. Some are about heroes or famous leaders, while others are about the beauty of the land or the spirit of the people who live there.

Overall, the music of Russia is very different from what you might hear on the radio in America or other countries, but it’s really cool and interesting to listen to!
