Muslim views on astrology

Astrology is like a big puzzle with lots of stars and planets. Some people believe that the position of the stars and planets at the time of your birth can predict things about your personality, your future, and even the world around you. But for Muslims, astrology is not a part of their religion.

Islam teaches Muslims to rely on Allah (God) for everything and to put their faith in Him. Muslims are taught that astrology is not a reliable way to predict the future or understand their personality. Instead, they are encouraged to seek guidance and direction from Allah through prayer and following the teachings of the Quran.

In addition to this, some Islamic scholars believe that astrology is a form of shirk which means associating something or someone with Allah (God) that should not be associated with Him. This is because astrologers claim to be able to predict the future, which is something that only Allah knows.

Despite this, there are still some Muslims who follow astrology and believe in its predictions. However, this is not the norm within the Muslim community, and these beliefs are not considered to be a part of Islamic teachings.

Overall, Muslims are encouraged to seek guidance and direction from Allah, rather than relying on astrology or other forms of divination.
