Mutual coherence function

Mutual coherence function is a way to measure how much different parts of a signal are related to each other. Think of a signal like a mix of different instruments. The mutual coherence function shows us how much each instrument affects the others. For example, if one instrument is very loud, the mutual coherence would be high. But if the instruments don't have much in common, the mutual coherence would be low.
