Mycenaean Greeks were people who lived in very olden times in Greece. They are called Mycenaeans because they lived in a place called Mycenae.
These people spoke a language called Mycenaean Greek. It was written using some special symbols called Linear B symbols that are kind of like secret codes.
Mycenaean Greek was a very complicated language, and it was mainly used for official purposes like writing down important things like taxes and crop yields. They didn't really use it to talk to each other in everyday life.
We know a lot about this language because it was written on clay tablets which have been found by archeologists. These tablets have given us some very important information about the Mycenaean society and their beliefs.
Even though the Mycenaean civilization did not survive, we still use some of the things they invented today. For example, they made some really strong walls and built some impressive palaces that are still standing today. We can learn a lot from Mycenaean Greek and their culture, which is really cool!
