NASA Space Radiation Laboratory

NASA's Space Radiation Laboratory is a laboratory specifically made to test how people, objects, and materials would react to the radiation that is found in Outer Space. NASA scientists use this laboratory to make sure that when people and objects are sent into space, they are protected from the unhealthy amount of radiation that's up there. They do experiments to see how well different materials, like the walls of a spacecraft, block the radiation. They also do experiments to figure out how people's bodies would be able to handle the radiation. This is important because if we don't understand how space radiation affects us, it could be very dangerous for astronauts and astronauts in the future.
