NCI-designated Cancer Center

NCI-Designated Cancer Centers are special places where doctors and scientists work together to treat and try to find cures for cancers. These centers work closely with the National Cancer Institute (NCI), a part of the U.S. government that's in charge of researching and learning about different kinds of cancers. The NCI works with these cancer centers so that doctors and scientists can work together to figure out new ways to diagnose, treat, and prevent cancer.
