NOMINATE (scaling method)

"Nominate" is like choosing the best student in class. Let's say the teacher wants to find out who is the most helpful. The teacher will ask everyone to nominate one classmate who they think is the most helpful. The student who gets the most nominations will be the winner. In the same way, when we use "nominate" as a scaling method, we ask different people to name the best thing or person in a group. We then count the nominations and identify the thing or person with the most votes as the winner or the best option. This helps us find out the most popular or preferred option in a group or among a group of people.
