Nabemono

Nabemono is a fun and yummy Japanese dish that is perfect for a chilly winter day!

It starts with a big pot of hot, steaming broth called dashi, which is made from water, seaweed, and bonito flakes (which are like tiny pieces of dried fish that add flavor).

Then, lots of fresh and delicious ingredients are added right into the pot! Tasty things like slices of meat, veggies like mushrooms and cabbage, noodles, and tofu.

Everyone gathers around the pot and uses long, skinny chopsticks to take out their favorite ingredients and dip them in a sauce made from soy sauce, sesame oil, and green onions.

The best part is that you can keep adding more ingredients to the pot as you eat, so the party can go on all night long! Yum!
