National Commissions for UNESCO

Okay, so have you heard of UNESCO? UNESCO is an important group that stands for United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization. They do a lot of important work to help protect important landmarks, languages and cultures around the world.

Now, each country that is a member of UNESCO has something called a National Commission. Think of it like a group or a team made up of people from that country. These people work together to help promote and support the work that UNESCO does.

These National Commissions are important because they help spread the message of UNESCO and make sure that people in their own country know about the important work that is being done to protect important things like ancient landmarks, languages, and cultural traditions.

Members of National Commissions work together to come up with ideas on how they can promote UNESCO's work. They might organize events, or spread the word on social media, or even create educational resources to help people learn more about different cultures around the world.

So, National Commissions are like a team of people from each country that work together to help support and promote the very important work that UNESCO does.
