National Irrigation Congress

A national irrigation congress is like a big meeting or conference for people who want to talk about watering plants and crops. Think about when you and your friends had a picnic and your parents set up a hose or sprinkler to water the grass. That's like what the national irrigation congress is about, but on a much larger scale.

At this meeting, there are lots of grown-ups who are experts in things like building canals or pipes to move water from one place to another. They talk about how to get water to places where there isn't enough natural rainfall to grow crops, like deserts or areas that get very little rain.

The people at the national irrigation congress also talk about how to make sure the water that is used for farming is safe and clean. They discuss ways to protect water sources, like rivers and lakes, so that they can continue to provide water for farms and homes.

The goal of the national irrigation congress is to find ways to help farmers grow more food with less water. This is important because as more people live on Earth, we need to make sure we can grow enough food to feed everyone. National irrigation congress is a place where grown-ups come together to find solutions to this important problem.
