ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Navigation room

A navigation room is like a special control center where people who are in charge of driving or piloting a big vehicle, like a ship, airplane or spacecraft, can plan and keep track of where they are going. It's like the captain's lookout where they can see maps, charts, and instruments that show important information about where they are going and what's happening around them. They can use this information to make sure they're traveling in the right direction and avoiding any obstacles on their journey. The navigation room helps the people in charge of the vehicle to make important decisions to steer the ship or plane to safety and make sure everyone arrives at their destination safely.
