Nayanars

Okay kiddo, so there were these people a long time ago in India called the Nayanars. They were really special because they loved and worshiped the Hindu god Shiva with all their hearts.

Just like when you really love someone or something, you want to show it off to everyone, the Nayanars would sing songs and write poems about Shiva and tell everyone how great he was.

They would visit temples and pray to Shiva, and some of them even did really crazy things to show their devotion to him – like rolling around in thorns or walking on hot coals!

But most importantly, the Nayanars believed that Shiva was always with them, watching over them and guiding them on the right path. They trusted him to take care of them no matter what happened in their lives.

So in a way, the Nayanars were like superheroes – they had strong beliefs and faith in Shiva, and they used that to help and inspire others to be their best selves too.
