Nazi book burnings

When some bad people called Nazis were in charge of Germany, they didn't want other people to read books that they didn't like. So, they collected a lot of books that they thought were bad and burned them in a big fire. They did this to try to control what people could think and learn. It was not a good thing to do because it was mean and it stopped people from learning and exploring different ideas.
