Nazi-occupied Poland

In the past, there was a country called Poland. But during World War II, a group of people called the Nazis came and took over Poland. They made it their own country for a while, but really they were just bossing the Polish people around and taking all of their resources for themselves.

The Nazis made a lot of rules that people in Poland had to follow, and many of those rules were really unfair. They made it illegal to be Jewish or have any Jewish friends. They also made it illegal to speak their own Polish language or celebrate their own traditions. Many Polish people were taken away from their homes and forced to work in factories or on farms. They didn't get paid very much and had to work very long hours, almost like slaves.

The Nazis were very mean to the people in Poland, and they did terrible things to them. They would hurt people who they didn't like or who didn't obey their rules. They even killed many people in terrible ways, especially people who were Jewish. This was called the Holocaust.

It was a really scary time for people in Poland, and many of them had to hide or escape to other countries to be safe. But eventually, the war ended and the Nazis had to go away. The people in Poland were able to start rebuilding their country and trying to make things better again.
