Nebelwerfer

A nebelwerfer is a kind of big, loud gun. It was used a lot during World War II. It gets its name from the German words "Nebel", which means "fog", and "Werfen", which means "to throw". The nebelwerfer's job was to throw big, loud explosives into the air and then let them fall down on the enemy. The explosions were very loud, bright and scary!
