ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Negative liberty

Negative liberty is when you have the freedom to do what you want without getting in trouble or being told that you can’t do it. It means having the freedom to make decisions without being interfered with or controlled by someone else. For example, having the right to go where you want, say what you want, and do what you want as long as you don’t hurt anyone else or break the law. You are free to act however you please and no one can tell you what to do.
