Neonatal nurse practitioner

A neonatal nurse practitioner is a nurse who takes care of newborn babies who need special help. These babies might be born early, or they might have health problems. The neonatal nurse practitioner helps the baby stay healthy and grow stronger. They work in a special part of the hospital called the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU). They take care of the baby's needs, like feeding and changing diapers, but they also help with medical treatments like giving medicine and doing blood tests. They work closely with a team of doctors and other nurses to make sure the baby is getting the best care possible. The neonatal nurse practitioner is very important because they help these special babies start their lives off on the right foot!
