ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

Net (command)

Okay kiddo, so the net command is like a magic wand that lets you do special things with your computer. You use it by typing in little words and instructions on your computer, and it helps you do things like check your network connections, find out who’s using your computer, or even transfer files between different computers.

It’s kind of like a secret code that you use with your computer to get it to do what you want. For example, if you type in “netstat” to the command prompt, your computer will show you all the different connections it has to other computers on the internet, and how much data is flowing between them.

And if you type in “net user”, your computer will show you all the different user accounts that are set up on your computer, so you can see who is allowed to use it and what kind of permissions they have.

So basically, the net command is like a special tool that lets you see how your computer is working and who is using it, and it’s really useful when you need to troubleshoot problems or perform advanced tasks on your computer.
