Neuromodulation (journal)

Neuromodulation is like a very special TV channel for your brain. Imagine your brain is a TV and sometimes the pictures and sounds on that TV are not just right. They might be too loud or too soft or the colors might not be bright enough. Neuromodulation is like changing the settings on the TV so that everything looks and sounds just right.

But instead of using a remote control, we use tiny devices that send special signals to certain parts of the brain. These signals can tell the brain to produce more or less of certain chemicals called neurotransmitters. These neurotransmitters are like messengers that help the different parts of the brain communicate with each other.

Neuromodulation can be used to treat lots of different problems, like chronic pain or depression. And just like how you can change the settings on a TV to make it better, neuromodulation can change the chemicals in the brain to make it feel better too. So, the neuromodulation journal is a place where scientists write and publish articles about their research on how to use neuromodulation to help people feel better.
