Neuropathy

Neuropathy is when your nerves, which are like tiny wires that help you feel things like hot and cold, or move your muscles, start to get damaged and stop working properly. Imagine if you had a toy car with a wire that made the wheels turn, but the wire got broken. The car wouldn't work right anymore, just like your nerves when they get damaged. Sometimes, neuropathy happens because your body doesn't have enough nutrients it needs to stay healthy, or because of an injury. Other times, it's because of a disease like diabetes. People with neuropathy might have trouble feeling things in their hands and feet, or might feel a tingling or burning sensation where the nerves are damaged. Sometimes, they might not even be able to move their muscles like they normally would. But don't worry, there are ways doctors can help manage neuropathy and keep you feeling as good as possible!
