New York City mayoral elections

New York City mayoral elections are elections that happen every 4 years to decide who will be the Mayor of New York City. This means that whoever wins the election will be the top leader of New York City and get to make decisions about how the city runs. In order for someone to be elected, they need to get more votes than any other candidate. People who are registered to vote in New York City will have the chance to vote for the candidate of their choice. On Election Day, the person with the most votes is declared the winner and becomes the new Mayor of New York City!
