ELI5: Explain Like I'm 5

News program

Okay kiddo, so you know how sometimes there are grown-ups on TV who talk about important things that are happening in the world? That's called a news program! They usually have people who tell us about things like what's happening in our country, what other countries are doing, or even weather and sports updates.

It's important that we watch news programs so we can learn about things that affect us and the world around us. We can find out about good things, like a community helping each other during a crisis, or bad things, like dangerous weather or people doing mean things to other people.

But it's also important to remember that news programs can sometimes be scary or confusing, and that's okay. If you ever feel scared or confused, you can ask a grown-up for help understanding what is happening. And always remember to be kind and respectful to others, because that's how we can make the world a better place!
