Nias Basin

The Nias Basin is an area where the Earth's crust is cracked and broken in a way that allows big pockets of gas and oil to form deep underground. People sometimes drill holes into the ground to get this gas and oil out, which can be used to make things like fuel for cars and machines. The Nias Basin is located in Indonesia, which is a country made up of many islands, and it is a very important area for the country because it has a lot of this underground gas and oil that can be used to make energy.
